PCP in Israel regulations and requirements

Assisting the client that manufactures water-miscible lubricants to understand the requirements regarding PCP (pentachlorophenol), which is part of the Stockholm Convention. Key questions to consider were to check if any thresholds implemented from when PCP qualifies as waste with regard to the Stockholm Convention which requires a specific destroy procedure.

Identification of new management strategies for energy efficiency

The work involved project managing energy assessment activities across the various departments at Jerusalem municipality. The project was commissioned by the Ministry of Infrastructure and due to the complexities of the project, Daniela managed a variety of Nidan’s consultants. Initially, the work involved, meeting stakeholders within the municipality, reviewing data, and understanding the different needs within each department (transport, education, lighting, etc). Secondly, energy survey for buildings, roads, and vehicles were carried out. The primary benefits were: understanding the value of energy savings and cost savings across the different departments.

Preparation and Analysis environmental KPls for the Annual Report

Scandic produces a public annual and bi-annual report of the financial results. Figures comparing energy and water use, waste and carbon dioxide emissions for the current and last year are always presented. The client's environmental Key Performance lndicator (KPI) table for the Annual Report 2009 was put together, containing data from the years 2008 and 2009 in order to monitor recent changes in environmental management.
